Capio API
Use Capio from your own applications with a personal API key. Keys act as your Capio account and are available on Pro and Team plans.
Create a key
- Sign in and open Settings → Security → API keys.
- Name the key and create it.
- Copy the secret immediately — Capio shows it only once.
- Revoke keys you no longer need from the same screen.
Authenticate
Send the key as a Bearer token on every request:
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
Base path: /api/v1 on your Capio origin.
Common endpoints
GET /api/v1/user— current user and feature flagsGET /api/v1/meetings— list meetingsGET /api/v1/meetings/{id}— meeting detailPOST /api/v1/recordings— upload audio (multipart/form-datawith anaudiofile)
Example
List meetings:
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $CAPIO_API_KEY" \ -H "Accept: application/json" \ https://your-capio-host/api/v1/meetings
Limits
- Usage counts toward your plan’s transcription minutes and upload duration limits.
- Maximum 10 API keys per account.
- Use keys from your server — do not embed them in public frontends.
